This stun baton is a favorite among security guards because of it's power and extended reach. Simply touch an assailant with the stun baton and pull the trigger: three to five seconds will leave the assailant dazed and temporarily paralyzed.
This 300,000 volt stun baton has metal strips along the sides that, when touched six inches from the tip, will deliver a shock. This prevents an assailant from grabbing it and taking it away. Molded handgrip and attached wrist strap ensures a secure hold. Batteries are installed by unscrewing the end cap at the base of the handle.

How do Stun Batons work?
This stun baton is an electrical self-defense device that uses high voltage to stop an attacker. Touching a person with the metal strips on this stun baton quickly immobilizes the attacker. However, because the amperage is very low, no serious or permanent injury is inflicted.
This stun baton is designed to key into the nervous system. It dumps its energy into the muscles at a high pulse frequency that makes the muscles work very rapidly, but not efficiently.
This rapid work cycle depletes blood sugar by converting it to lactic acid all in just seconds.
The resulting energy loss makes it difficult to move and function. At the same time, the tiny neurological impulses that travel throughout the body to direct muscle movement are interrupted.
This causes disorientation and loss of balance and leaves the attacker in a passive and confused condition for several minutes.
Although there is no significant effect on the perpetrator's heart and other organs, you have the time you need to get away and call for help.

As a general rule, a one-half second contact can repel and startle the attacker, giving some pain and muscle contraction.
You will not be affected even if you are holding your attacker with another hand or he is holding you! The extreme shock does not pass between people.
One to two seconds can cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state. Over three seconds can cause loss of balance and muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation. Realize that 3 seconds is quite a long time when in a physical struggle.
Every person is different and will react differently to the effects of a stun gun. What may put one person down in 3 seconds could take 5 seconds on another person. You must be prepared to hold it on the person for as long as (forcefully) possible or necessary.
The electrical shock that emits from the unit will not pass from the person being stunned to the person doing the stunning. The effect is localized only in the affected area and does not pass through the body.
Even if you or the attacker are wet or standing in water, you will not get shocked.
